KC has practiced staff manipulation for ten years. She travels the country teaching workshops to share this, her greatest passion. She offers group and individual instruction in dynamic object manipulation (sometimes called Flow Arts). Available prop instruction: Contact Staff, Double Staves, Fans, and Dragon Staff. A beginner progressing to intermediate level series in Contact Staff - the art of hands-free rolling, balancing, and dancing with staves.
WEEK 1. Oct 10: Introduces basic contact staff terminology. Examples of movements covered: rolls, wraps, traps, balancing, and the “conveyor belt”.
WEEK 2. Oct 17: Examples of movements covered - Drills, Duckouts, and "the Steve"
WEEK 3. Oct 26: Halos and variations
WEEK 4. Nov 2: The SNeS family
WEEK 5. Nov 7: Angels and variations
WEEK 6. Nov 14: Fishtails
